The two roads symbolise the two choices he has to either conform or be an individual. The rocky, dirty, perilous and the less inviting path is the path of an individual, but the seemingly easy path with nice green Fields that is very inviting is the path of conformity. The line "...it was grassy and wanted wear..." describes the conformist path seem easier and more ideal. The line "..To where it bent in undergrowth..." makes the other path, the individuals path, seems a far harder and risky path and a far less ideal or inviting path to choose. The Author chooses the path of conformity as the line"...took the one less travelled by.." but the following line "...And that has made all the difference." means that taking the path of an individual can be harder and more perilous and far less inviting but when you emerge it ends up being more beneficial.
