What are the different types of Government and what do they mean?

There are three branches of government, if that's what the question means. The president, the supreme court, and the senate and the house of representatives.

Democracy, Absolutism, Aristocracy, Oligarchy, Monarchy, Republics, Totalitarian, Despotism I cant think of anymore and you can do the research to find out what they mean, because we all know you are trying to get the answers for your h/w.

A) if you mean in the united states, judicial is the law-deciding branch with the supreme court and state courts, executive is the chief branch with the president, vp, etc, and the legislative is the law making body with the house of reps and the senate. also to note is that in the us, democratic party is more liberal, or wanting to make a change, and the republican party is more conservative, or wanting things to stay the same. B) elsewhere in the world, democracy is a form of gov in which the people are free to do as they wish and vote on leaders. a monarchy is a form in which a monarch rules. communism is a form in which the gov decides alot of what the people do, in some cases suckh as where you work, where you work at, what you do, how much you make, and in some cases, how yuou vote.
