Maggets. They start off as small white worms usually in your garbage. Then they turn into flies and it will be alot of them. Get rid of the worms ASAP!

Problem solving includes adding a sprinkling of lime to raise the pH more towards the general neutral range of 6.8-7.3, monitoring the type of food scraps being used, and correcting drainage for an overall consistency like that of a wrung out sponge.
