German military might was throttled down considerably. Germany was only permitted to maintain an Army Corps of l00,000 men. Field artillery of a larger caliber than 75MM ( Three inches) was taboo. The Luftwaffe ( air arm) was banned, even as an adjunct to the Army- for example troop transports. No cannon over Three inches- and No Air Force- period. The cagey Germans were also banned- you guessed it- U-Boats.
