It is not yet understood what the cause is for this disease. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease. The body's immune system mistakenly identifies the synovial membranes in joints as foreign. causing Inflammation, damaging cartilage and tissues in and around the joints. the effects of RA can also be found in other parts of the body such as the epidermis, heart, lungs, eyes, brain, circulatory system etc. To date no cure for this disease has been found. However there are treatments available that tend to arrest the progress of the disease and keep pain under control.

arthritus is when you get pains in the joints of your muscles. you can't get rid of it, but you can take medication for it.
