In my opinion, Jesse Malin is the best rock musician around these days. He was originally the lead singer/songwriter of the punk band DGeneration. They released two albums in the 1990s, before they broke up: No Lunch (1996) and Through the Darkness (1998).
Those two albums are extremely hard to find, though. They have been two of my favorite albums since I was 16, and by the time I was 22, they were so scratched up that nearly every song skipped. I had to search the internet high and low before I could find an online shop that had them.
You will have a much easier time finding Jesse Malin's solo albums. There are three of them so far, and they are all excellent. Since his time with DGeneration, his music has become less punk, and more sophisticated and complex, but he still rocks just as hard as before. The albums are: the Fine Art of Self-Destruction(2003), the Heat (2004), and Glitter in the Gutter(2007).
Elvis was a heavy influence as well as early Rock and Roll in general (rockabilly) Listen to should I stay then listen to a couple of Elvis' early numbers. you'll hear a connection
Delegate Authority to Trusted Subordinates! Only when your subordinates' ideas clash or don't seem to be working, step in. Listen to your official advisors. Listen to intelligent people. Listen to 'common people.' Trust your intelligence and experience...Then make decisions! Then, see if your decision needs correcting.
