One of the most important things a person can do is vote. In this last election 42% didn't vote. If they had voted it may have changed the result. When a person doesn't vote they give up the right to complain because they didn't use what they were given to change the course of the country.
Citizens play many roles in the election process. They are responsible for voting for the candidate they feel will best serve their needs. They are able responsible for providing information to others about the candidates and policies that they feel will be beneficial within their communities.
You can vote in The USA but not everybody has that basic right.
