There are many things you can do in Egypt. I have been there through a tour agency called ask-Aladdin recommended by my uncle because my parents are worried about my safety. I was too eager to go there. if you want to go there it depends on what you love to visit. If you are a dessert lover, party lover, nature lover. Then Egypt is probably the best place for you. There is a famous island called Nile river. You gonna fall in love with that place. After that, there are tombs, pyramids, museums and many other things. I'm sure the place will be a memorable place for you.
You can fly to Cairo to see the pyramids (about 50 mins flight) or to Luxor, to see the temples (about an hr's flight).
The coach trip to Cairo is cheaper & takes 7 hrs (approx) each way.
Visit St Catherine's monastery, where the Burning Bush is said to be growing still.
Climb nearby Mount Sinai (monastery is at the foot) & see sunrise. It's said to be here that Moses received the 10 Commandments.
Visit Petra, in Jordan (about an hr's flight),
Visit Jerusalem (bus trip only) or the Dead Sea or Eilat (swim with semi-wild dolphins).
Visit Serabit El Khadem (only known Pharaonic Temple in Sinai). Visit the Coloured Canyon (small-scale Petra) in Sinai).
Visit various other canyons.
Star-gazing & bedouin eve meal; talk by an astronomer, out in the desert.
Quad biking or sand buggies (get insurance for 250cc bikes before travelling as you won't get it out there).
In resort there are many watersports (not jet skis).
Scubadiving or take a sea-scope trip, which is a boat that has a lower deck, underwater, with glass walls, so all marine life & coral is visible.
Take a boat trip or overland trip to Ras Mohamed National Park. Snokel / swim stops on the boat & lunch.
Tiran boat trips are also popular (can't go on the island though).
Visit the Mangroves up near Nabq, at one end of Sharm. Good beaches & maybe lucky to see some wild life.
Pyramids and tombs. Also, there is the famous Nile River that provided rich soil for the ancient Egyptians. Plus, there are probably historical sites to look at. ---------------
Some people is protesting in Egypt, but i don't know why could you help me to know?
Egypt is a really interesting spot to spend your weekend with family and friends. Egypt is the only country in Africa really part of the Middle East. It has also a lot of Islamic remains but also of Coptic Christianity. Last year had visited with my friends to spend my holidays through a travel agency company ask-aladdin.com. That was a wonderful historical place. We stayed there 14 days something. We lot of enjoyed there.
You can visit Carthage, one of the biggest civilizations, you may know "Hannibal" the greatest leader the world ever know.
Also, you can do a lots of other activities. I added a site for you to check out!
Life in modern Egypt is both modern and traditional. In the big cities, such as Cairo, you will see people wearing jeans and sneakers as well as more traditional dress. Clothing in Egypt is generally conservative because followers of Islam obey rules that require shoulders and knees of all people to be covered. Traditional dress for men is a galabayya. It is a long, cotton robe. In traditional dress, women wear a black dress over their house clothes when going out in public. They also wear a veil that covers their head and face.
The major religion of Egypt is Islam and people who practice this religion are called Muslims. Muslim people are usually very traditional in their lives and beliefs.
At one time, camels were the main way that people traveled in Egypt. People still ride camels, but more often for sport and fun than for transportation. The most common forms of transportation are trains, buses, and automobiles.
Egyptian homes are also found in both modern and traditional styles. In the cities, modern homes exist near businesses built of steel and glass. Villages are often populated with homes made of mud and brick. Other traditional people may live in goatskin tents. Eid al-Adha is a religious practice that takes place around February. At this time, Muslims in Egypt make a pilgrimage (called haj) to Mecca. Each Muslim is expected to make a pilgrimage once in their lifetime. Each village celebrates as people pass through. The streets are decorated and children wear their best clothes.
You can go swimming in it or even take a boat and take a cruise on it.
You can find just about anything in Egypt: Ancient Ruins, Computers, Figs and Dates, Modern Women, Intransigent Men, Churches, Mosques, etc.
