First, establish what causes the nausea. It may a bad technique for entering the water (such as holding your nose to prevent water entering; this is extremely dangerous due to pressure differences) or from diving or surfacing too quickly (another common problem and also due to rapid pressure changes). It may also be an problem unrelated to swimming. It will be obvious whether this is so as the nausea will strike at other times and after certain actions as well. In this case, you should see a doctor anyway.

Secondly, the simple step is to avoid what causes it. Don't hold your nose and dive properly; don't go too deep, and don't go up too quickly. If needed, use medications provided by your doctor.
