Household chemicals or burning smoke as well as dehydration or pollen, tiredness, plastic fumes, some acids, anxiety, pressure from noises, sometimes wheat or milk will cause a similarity, being cold or a low metabolism, often that needs/requires some magnesium, potassium, Cold-Eeze drops (That's how it's spelled. Zinc is what helps in them) or too much ascorbic acid or pulp from Orange Juice may be a cause or smelling cigarette smoke and/or breathing second-hand smoke is easily a cause. Often affects the ears too. Seasonal Affective Disorder may eventually cause it or a dirty, moldy room, or simply being around a contagious person. Especially one that's upset or one that just woke up or doesn't eat well (although there's no explanation for the last part; just that it frequently happens). Otherwise, you may be talking about what people call the Adam's apple in your neck, which science, either way, needs to work on. I would try going with sea-like salts instead of regular lake salt at times or simply take an epsom-salt bath often, and Tone soap is the best commercial soap right now, though you may know of some other-wise better ones.
