The cause of Bloody Sunday can be put on one person; Nicholas II. Nicholas had his factories in an unruly and absurd condition. He wanted all of his workers to work for 11 hours and with little pay. The workers sent him a petition and when he did not respond to that, they simply took matters into their own hands. They marched to the Winter Place and it was a disaster. So many took to the streets to protest about these conditions and reached the winter palace. The Tsar , Nicholas the second , was not in the palace at this time . So the protestors had to come in face with the Cossacks. The Tsars royal army. When the cossacks saw what was going on , they panicked and started shooting at the demonstrators . This led to 100's dieing and 1000's being injured.
