In the 18th century in America, the colonists had numerous reasons to think about revolting, and even to revolt in actuality, against their English overlords. The primary reason was economic: English rule was economically oppressive. Other reasons include the evident disrespect shown to the colonists by the English as well as the English refusal to allow colonists any direct representation in the rule-making that affected their lives and livelihood in their colonial homeland.

Some main reasons the colonists rebelled were because of the Stamp act, the Sugar act, the declaratory act, the Quebec act, and the Coercive acts. Colonists were upset with the king because of his refusal to communicate with them. They also were upset because of his direct infractions on their rights. The Battles of lexington and Concord were the official start of the revolution. Most of all the colonists had a feeling of pride that they felt was being disrespected by Britain.
They felt that the British Parliament was not giving them proper representation there by denying their rights.

"no taxation without representation" was the slogan used to sum it up.
because the British were taxing the Colonist, on their goods, tea, and exporting products.

For one the British were taxing the colonies to compensate for the debts accumulated by the British in the French and Indian war. This taxation was applied without any representation from the colonists in Parlaiment. Not only were taxes imposed without representation but laws were as well. Overall, the colonists' rights weren't recognized by the poop.

There were many reasons why the colonists revolted against the British. For one, they were forced to pay taxes to the King without representation. British soldiers could also enter a colonial's home without a warrant. The British simply terrorized the colonials and forced them into a state of servitude on several fronts.

Why were the colonists asked to pay new taxes after 1763?

The colonies actually paid a great deal less in taxes that did the people in England. This caused problems back home where the people there complained about paying taxes to supply soldiers and administration in the Colonies, not only in America but everywhere Great Britain had Colonies. For these reasons, certain taxes were levied on items such as public papers, tea and other imported items, and colonists were made to house soldiers. This infuriated some Colonists, and as time passed others were stirred up as well against England's administration, even though most Colonists still considered themselves British.

Which of these is the slogan adopted by colonists angry about British taxes?

What are the thirteen colonies?

THE ANSWER- I SEARCHED IT--During the years 1740 to 1770 the tension between England and the 13 colonies grew into a full scale war. Suffering from unjust taxation and tyrannical rule, the colonists tried to change and influence the English policy through repeated petitioning and boycotts. After failing to influence England through peaceful measures, war was the colonists' only option. The 13 colonies were therefore justified in starting a revolt against England. According to England however the colonists were not justified in waging war. England was the mother country and the colonists paid the lowest taxes in the world. Being that the colonists benefited from the French and Indian war, colonial help in paying back the debt was expected. The 13 colonies unnecessarily resorted to violence and propaganda in which a minority of Patriots influenced other colonists to believe in a "New England" problem. Despite England's reasons as to why the 13 colonies were wrong to declare war, the colonists were justified in waging war. The colonists in the Declaration of Independence clearly stated their grievances and case against England, declaring to the world the reasons that caused them to separate and fight to become the United States of America.
