This can only be answered by a physician, on this forum.
In the ordinary course of things, this could be due to a prolapsed mitrial valve.
This is ordinarily addressed by the drug, atenolol, to prevent "palpitations" and a "double" heart beat.
A perfectly healthy heart is often accompanied by a "double" heart beat. This is not ususally clinically remarkable. Uless, it is repetitive. It is then that an unltra-sound would be required in order to determine just why (you) have a "double heart-beat".
If you are experiencing a repetitive occurance of a "double" heat-beat, then you are a candidate for an unltra sound test. This could be due to tachycardia or any other symptoms.
Again, you need to consult with your family practioner.
Regards.
mine does that some times... It is sometimes called palpitation, seek advice from your doctor
It was around 25 resting, he had something which is basically 2 single beats of the heart and then the 3rd would be a double beat (double beat being the usual) this is why resting it was so low, however when you do sport with this your heart beat turns to a normal double beat everytime and so the difference in during and before was high, unfortunately i do not know what his rate was during exercise
Bigeminy is an abnormal heart rhythm where every other beat is abnormal. This can be an abnormal atrial beat (atrial bigeminy), a beat arising from the AV junction or bundle of His (junctional bigeminy), or a ventricular beat (ventricular bigeminy). The pattern is as such: Normal beat... abnormal beat... normal beat.... abnormal beat... normal beat... abnormal beat... repeat.
The property of the normal pacemaker region is able to provide a normal setting for the heart to beat. It allows the heart to beat at a regular rate.
