What causes cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying Cyber; to mean electronically, by way of virtual computer over the internet or airwaves. Cyberbullying is bullying by texting and emailing people to embarras…s them and hurt their feelings. Texting is the most popular way. Cyber or internet bullying is where you are being bullied over the computer. This can be done by people leaving messages on websites, Bebo's, Facebook, my-space and even general bullying over messenger programs. This can really hurt a persons feelings and is not a good thing to do as it just shows cowardliness. Most bullies, when stood up to, will back off and leave you alone. If you are being bullied you can however save the comments or conversation and show it to police officers. It is unlikely that they will do a lot but it can result in them confiscating the bully's computer and things similar to that. Cyberbullying is when you go to places like chat rooms, or other places where you can connect with people and the people that you talk to say mean things or offensive types of stuff or sometimes sexual comments and things that just make you feel uncomfortable. An example would be if you were talking to someone you didn't know in a chat room and they say " GIVE ME YOUR ADDRESS OR I WILL COME AND KILL YOU!" something like that. It is very scary and cyberbullying should be stopped and if that is happening to you, tell someone you trust and let them take care of it and don't go to that place again! Cyberbullying involves recurring or repeated harm willfully inflicted through the medium of electronic text. In order for it to be cyber-bullying, the intent must be to cause …emotional distress, and there must be no legitimate purpose to the communication. Cyberbullying can be as simple as continuing to send e-mail to someone who has said they want no further contact with the sender, but it may also include threats, sexual remarks, pejorative labels (i.e., hate speech). Cyber-bullies may disclose victims' personal data (e.g. real name or workplace/schools) at websites or forums, or may attempt to assume the identity of a victim for the purpose of publishing material in their name that defames or ridicules them. Some may post victims' photos, or victims' edited photos like defaming captions or pasting victims' faces on nude bodies. One famous forum for disclosing personal data or photos to "punish" the "enemies" is Hong Kong Golden Forum. Cyberbullying is when you're on a site or MSN or some sort of cyber talking site. And then they start talking to you, and soon become so nasty and start to call you names and start using unsuitable words. A cyberbully is a type of bully that does his work online. His/her words can be so rude and hurtful that they may be capable of affecting your behavior. Sometimes their words hurt as much as being physically bullied. Such acts should be reported to Supervisors. Supervisors will let them off with a warning first, but if this does not end, they will be blocked. But, unfortunately, cyberbullies may make a new account, and continue their acts of violence. But they will be blocked again. Avoid these bullies. If you feel that you are being cyberbullied on this site, Please report it in the community forum, or to any supervisor. Action will be taken.
A little background here: in August of 1971, sponsored by the Office of US Naval Research, the US Navy and Marine Corps, Dr. Phillip Zimbardo, with twenty-four student vol…unteers conducted the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment. They were to study the dynamics that developed between guards and prisoners. This is important for this answer for one reason: although Dr. Zimbardo shut down the experiment early to protect volunteers, he has continued to analyze and study the data he gained from the failed experiment. What he determined is that most aggressive, bullying behavior rises primarily out of two factors: lack of education or training, and boredom. Cyberbullying is likely the result of these two factors as well, at least to some degree.
Cyberbullying has several causes. Like every other type of bullying, the bullier is usually an individual who puts others down in order to build him or her self up. Cyberbul…lying simply utilizes a new form of communication. Thus, besides the normal factors of low self-esteem, difficulties growing up, and problems in family dynamics, cyber bullying is also caused by (often unrestricted and unsupervised) access to this new medium of communication.
Cyber bullying could be done in many ways. However tips on how to do so aren't going to be found here.
First, Don't get involved in cyberbullying others. If you are being bullied, share it with your parents or friends or teachers If you are a parent, take steps to safeguard… your child from cyberbullying by talking with them, monitoring their online activity, etc.
Msn,facebook ,e-mail , cellphone/texting ,twitter ,my space, windows live messanger, bebo's and chat rooms are all ways to get cyberbullied

There are many issues both with the actual 'activity' and for the persons health and emotions. Some Cyber-bullying is does anonymously therefore the person may feel …even more at risk because they can't get help against a specific person. Furthermore, even if it's not done anonymously, the person may have effects later on in life or their present time, they could plummet into depression or have a mental illness that may be because of their bullying. Not only this, but not many parents/people know what their child/friend etc. is doing online so cannot help, people may be/come introvert and not tell.
do not delete what they wrote. If you're on the Internet, then report the person. If they're texting or phoning you, get a new cell phone. If they're doing it right to your fa…ce, then tell a adult, teacher or counselor immediately. If they tell you not to tell anyone or you will pay, think that they will be the one to pay when you tell someone.
ppl just start sayin mean things...making fun of each other When some one say something bad about you.
It has been in some cases.
It can result in many things; self harm, suicide, running away, and can cause people to lose focus. It's awful but if you stay confident and get a good education, then you can… show those bullies.
most likely jealously... someone is jealous of what someone else has, so starts cyber bullying to try get some type of recognision.
None, it is impossible for bullies on the internet to physically harm a person, unless they can track them down. All of the "deaths" is from suicide from already emotionally …imbalanced or neglected individuals.
