If your a woman it could be your ovaries, like, a cyst on them or a tumor or it could just be pains from major body changes if you're pregnant. If it's none of those things, sometimes that happens to dehydrated people as well.

∙ 13y agoIt usually involves the end of the colon and can simply be cramps or constipation or holding stool or more serious things like inflammatory or diverticular disease.
It can also be from the ovaries or from the abdominal wall (especially if there is a hernia) or from kidneys stones.
If it is mild and goes away on its own then you can probably just use some heating pads and Tylenol and treat it at home.
If you cannot tolerate food, have a high fever, have severe pain, have blood int he stool or if it persists for more than a day or so then you should see your doctor.
