Yes it can. It can add a reddish component to the stool, that looks like blood. Not to worry -- it goes away usually the next time you have a bowel movement.

Only in moderation perhaps. I drink it with carrot and other juices as a diabetic and diluted! I add lemon juice to regulate my glucose. Ginger and cinnamon added to it would …be a good idea. When I measured my glucose the next day after a pizza meal and such a mixed juice, my glucose reading was 4.6. Diabetics can eat fruit and veg high in sugars - only in moderation though. We are all individuals and therefore my suggestions are tentative.
