Yugoslavia is a former country in southeast Europe. It has been divided into the six countries of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro.
Yugoslavia no longer exists.

Yugoslavia was a united country, but split into five separate countries in 1992: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Serbia and Montenegro, and Slovenia. In 2006, Serbia and Montenegro split to form just Serbia and Montenegro. And in 2008, Kosovo declared independence from Serbia, and although recognized by the majority of the Western World and UN members, Kosovo's independence in not yet a member of the UN.

Yugoslavia, and its successors today, was located in Europe.
