European ContinentMoscow is on the European continent.
Moscow, the capital city of Russia, is in Europe. Europe is not a strictly continent but is a sub-continent. The Urals, a Russian mountain range that runs north/south, is usually considered to be the boundary between Europe and Asia.

(The USA has a town called Moscow in Idaho).
