What continent is not a continent?

Every continent is, under some circumstance, not considered a continent :

• Europe - because it is part of the conjoined Eurasian continent
• Asia - for the same reason
• Africa - for the same reason, part of "Afro-Eurasia"
• North and South America - may be considered a single connected continent
• Antarctica - because it is practically uninhabited, it is not one of the 5 continents represented in the Olympics symbol
• Australia - may be considered the largest island in the Pacific continent of "Oceania" (more usually considered a region, not a continent)

The 7 classical continents are (in size order) Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia.

Neither Australia nor Antarctica are divided into separate countries. Australia is a continent and a country in itself. Numerous countries have claimed territory in Antarctica, but the continent is not divided into countries.
