There is no conflict between Hinduism and Islam. But there could be the conflict between persons who follow Islam and Hinduism. The main reason for this is often the conflict between their self interests or inability to understand the true meaning of these religions.
People for their own egoistic reason see and concentrate more on dissimilarities between the two religions rather than similarities.
The essence of all religions is to have peace and harmony between any two creatures.
The conflict arises in the people who do not see the following similarities in the essence of these two religions.
Islam believes that there is only onegod, called Allah, and He created the whole universe, and there is no one other than Him.
Hinduism believes that there is oneuniversal consciousness, called Paramatma, who is present in each and everyhing in the universe and there is nothing other than Him/Her/It .

∙ 13y agoIndia was ruled by Hindu and Buddhist Kings and Princes until 1526 when Muslim Mughals arrived in India. The Mughals ruled India for over 400 years. During that period Muslims and Hindus lived together in peace. The British invaded India in the late 19th century. They tried to invade all of India but it was too difficult. So they made Hindus and Muslims fight each other, thus India tore apart.
