Before you get into the expensive and techinical solutions, remember that the wiper will not work if the hatch window/ tailgate is not locked. This prevents the wiper from accidently functioning when the hatch is open! Double check the lock - 53 y/o chick. No power windows or locks on my 1993 Rodeo!-Ronda_G
