Being against the law, or illegal are two different things. For example, off topic answer, in some countries there is no age of consent, so it's not 'illegal' to have sex with a minor and yet they still have certain 'area rights' where if the minor or the parents complain about it, you can be found guilty of having had sex illegally, so it is all in the context. But, you asked a straight question, how countries is it legal to be gay, so here's the best answer for you;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_by_country_or_territory
Hit that link and it tells you all about what you want to know. Because as I said, some might call something legal, and yet have a law against sodomy which many misunderstand. Sodomy is described as any sexual intercourse where it isn't considered 'coitus'. This is where the intercourse is STRICTLY Penis/Vagina, so even though many who are against gay people want sodomy made illegal to hinder gay people's lives, they themselves are subject to the same any time they have oral sex or anal sex or any other sex with than 'coitus'.
It should also be noted, for fun, here in the U.S., some states find it illegal for two men to marry, but it's okay to have sex or many one of your animals in certain states. Go figure. But the above link should help you quite a bit to check the different things that are legal and not legal according to the area you are in.

Atlanta.
The Greens in Australia support gay marriage and want no exceptions (religious schools!) to the anti-discrimination laws.
In the 1980s, there was only a small movement for gay rights, and it focused on removing anti-sodomy laws from the books.
Of corse we have rights here!!! Just like other modern day countries we have the same rights to a house, education, medical care, to be and race, or sex and even to chose ure own style or to be gay there all rights we have. but we also have laws
Which statement is true? *Feminism and gay rights were political and social movements. (was the right answer for me on apx)
different countries have different laws. This means that these laws are also the basis of the rights and obligations of the people in that country. This is what differs between countries.

There are no countries that "don't let gay people in" because sexual orientation is not checked in Customs. However there are countries that are extremely dangerous for gay people. Specifically, gay people are strongly urged never to visit:YemenIranMauritaniaNigeriaQatarSaudi ArabiaAfghanistanSomaliaSudanUgandaAlgeriaJamaica (anti-gay laws are strictly enforced)EgyptKenyaTanzaniya
It varies by country. Some countries do not give gay people equal rights.
Yes. There are many countries (India, Nigeria, and others) in which homosexuality is illegal. There are many more countries (includign the US) in which one can be fired for being gay. Even leavign beside marriage, the natural rights of gay people are very much restricted.
