∙ 7y agoHistorical Macedonia, today a province in the northern Greek peninsula is bordered by the Former Yugoslav Republic, Albania and Bulgaria.
The newly founded Republic of the Former Yugoslavia which though unrelated, self identifies as "Macedonia" is surrounded by Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia. This area was in Homers time called DARDANIA. The people from DARDANIA were allies to Troans (Trojans) and both of them Dardanians and Troans were Greeks. This was before the invasion of the Slavs in the 6th century CE.
