It depends on what type of farmers they are. Dairy farmers, for example, primarily grow things like corn and hay that can be fed to cows. Produce farmers, on the other hand, tend to grow things like beans, onions, potatoes, cabbage, lettuce, and whatever else you see in the grocery store. Certain specialized farmers, such as ones involved in wine production, only grow a single thing - such as grapes. Most grow at least some variety of crops however so that they're not putting all of their eggs into one basket. What particular farmers grow is dictated by what climate the farmer lives in, what will grow in that climate, and what the farmer can produce efficiently and sell for the most money.
