According to the Movie "Shop around the corner" from 1940, directed by Ernst Lubitsch, starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan, it appears that they use "Pengo" and "Filler" as currency. Based on a play written by Miklós László it is assumed that this currency was used in Hungry at least before WW2. If it is used before WW1 is not proven but likely to be true. Further Research showed that in the years before WW1 the main cuurency was called Korona and Filler. The Pengo was introduced in 1925/ 26 and got replaced by the Forint in 1946 again by the communist party.
