The Cunard liner Carpathia picked up the survivors of the Titanic.
It was presumed that many of them drowned or froze to death in the chilling waters, or died when they were trapped in the sinking ship. Those that managed to get onto lifeboats, or were picked up after the ship sank (13 of them picked up from the water) added up to 710 survivors out of 2,224 passengers.
Passengers of all three classes were picked up in both Queenstown and France, altho France had a few more first-class and Queenstown had a few more third-class.
Only one ship picked up ANY survivors of Titanic, the Carpathia The Baltic, however, found the lifeboat with three dead bodies that had been cast off, about a month later.
