The word sin is a religious term so it would depend on what religion you worship. In Islam and some Christian beliefs it is a sin if you aren't married to the target of your temptation. Depending on the situation it may be ill advised, but I do not consider it a sin.

There are many activities that some people consider sinful and other people consider OK. Consider: eating pork, working on the Sabbath, playing cards--all these could be considered sinful, depending on who you ask. My own approach is: (1) decide what, for you, constitutes a sin; (2) based on your definition of sin, evaluate the particular activity.
