The Romans invented many things that we still use today. Here is a list of some of them:

Arcs

Roads (multilayered and curved on the top with gutters on the sides)

Censuses

Road networks

Domes

Bathhouses

Removable waste systems

Parts of our language

Democracy (wrong! the Greeks invented Democracy)

War Tactics

Sandals

Tampons

And a functioning form of republicanism

Arches

...

The Romans also invented concrete. Every time I go for a walk I use the concrete sidewalk. This was a Roman invention. They also invented indoor pluming and central heating. An early form of taxi meter was also invented by the Romans. Many public buildings have an atrium and all our cities have sewers.

The Romans were some of the most ingenuitive people ever to have lived on Earth. They played such an important role in coming up with ideas that we still manipulate and use today.

What roman advancements are still influential today?

Romans used a system of plumbing featuring aqueducts for water transport, as well as sewers. These are still evident today in city planning. I believe Romans invented "concrete" although their mixture was obviously different. Concrete is used today in construction. If you're speaking more of abstract advancements, such as political and philosophical advancements, then i'm not sure.
