The Quebec act was not part of the Coercive acts but since the Quebec act came afterwards they went ahead and just said that they were a part of it. The Coercive Acts were also called the "Intolerable Acts" as viewed by the colonists.
The coercive acts did five main thing parts because there were five coercive acts or intolerable acts. the first was the Boston Port Bill which closed all the Boston Ports because of the Boston tea Party. the second is the Assembly act that stated that any group that wanted to have an assembly had to get the King's permission first. The third Coercive act was the riot act which was just the King taking control of all the riots and harassment such as the Boston massacre and tarring and feathering people. The forth is the English officers having their trials in England which just meant when the English officer had to got to trial they went to trial in England ( not fair at all). The fifth and final coercive act is the Quebec act. the Quebec act took away colonists right to govern themselves and from then on the King would appoint men to be the governor of colonies because of all the epidemics. the King had to assert his dominance and show that the Loyalists and Patiots (2 different kind of colonists) that they still had to follow the King's rules. the Quebec act mostly had an effect on patriots.

The Intolerable Acts
In order to strengthen their power over the rebellious colonists in Massachusetts following the Boston Tea Party, the British Parliament passed a series of acts known as the Coercive Acts. They were passed in 1774, and angry Americans referred to them not as the Coercive Acts, but as the Intolerable Acts.
The Parliament of 1774 passed several important laws, including the Quebec Act and the Coercive Acts. The Quebec Act aimed to establish a new administrative and legal framework for the Province of Quebec, granting increased rights to French Canadians and expanding its boundaries. The Coercive Acts, also known as the Intolerable Acts, were a set of punitive measures imposed on the American colonies in response to the Boston Tea Party, ultimately fueling the American Revolution.
why did the coercive act fail
An unexpected result of the Coercive Acts was the increased support for Massachusetts and its resistance to the authority of England. The Coercive Acts were originally meant to subdue disobedience.
