The disciples are called to be fishers of men. they were also called to preach the kingdom message of the Lord Jesus Christ. they were task to heal sickness of all kinds, and cast out demons. soon, they became in charge of different communities and presiders of liturgical activities.
For the most part they went back to their previous lives to take stock of the profound events that had happened.
This sounds rather strange, but even today when something mind-blowing happens, we often cope by reverting to the mundane jobs in life to try to come to terms with what has happened.
The problem that the disciples had was that although they knew Jesus was alive despite hos execution, they were not equipped mentally, spiritually or emotionally to proclaim the fact to all around. Even after the ascension where they witnessed Jesus' miraculous departure they went back to their homes, but continued in their worship privately with their own families.
However, at the first Pentecost, the Book of Acts in The Bible describes an event where the disciples were gathered together in one place and the Holy Spirit - God's spirit that was promised by Jesus as a helper - descended upon them that immediately transformed the motley crew into a dynamic vital force for spreading the good news of Jesus - even though it eventually cost them their lives. After that defining moment, the disciples never went back to their old occupations but spread the news of Jesus right across the Roman Empire and beyond ito Africa and even Asia.

Also during this period of time, David Barksdale controlled the Del Vikings, the Black Souls, and the West Side Cobras. The Black Disciples and the Gangster Nation were two alliances, basically similar to the present day Folk Nation. Before the gangs would join either Gangster Nation or Black Disciples, they had to alter their names a little, to be in the Disciple nation u had to adopt the last name of Disciple (there were exceptions like the Black Souls, West Side Cobras, and Del Vikings). The rest of the gangs that joined had to adopt the last name of Gangster.
