The girls helped their mothers in the garden, helped with cleaning, sweeping, exc. and served dinner. The boys helped the fathers in the fields, with building houses, and anythng eles they could do. Both children stood at the table, because there were not enough chairs. Both children played games occasionaly, and went to school if they were not needed, usually on Sundays.
Kids in colonial times did not ice skate like people do now a days. Kids did play on the ice but they just slid around on their shoes.
