After the revolutionary war, the national government made a constitution. It was very important for the rights of the people to be set down in the document so the same process would not be repeated.

He sometimes controlled Federal taxes which only webt to the national government, they would also controll during war times and nationl emergency's like the swine fluu.(cough,cough) They also controll laws and if we didn't have one there would be no one to represent the state.
