If you want to find Louisiana jobs, go to your local store deli store, nursing homes or check your local listings and newspapers offering opportunity to find jobs.
You might want to go to a government website for the state of Louisiana, because that would probably be the most accurate solution.
There is no real important leader of Louisiana except for recent representatives and senates. The Louisiana was originally bought from Napoleon during the Louisiana Purchase but he found the land to be too swampy to be useful and he sold it. Leader wise I suppose Napoleon would be one but he didn't want the land shortly afterwards.
He hoped to find an easy trade route to the Pacific
When Jefferson bought the Louisiana Purchase, he went against the 10th amendment. The 10th amendment states that any power not stated to belong to the federal government in the constitution becomes a power of the state. There is not a place in the constitution that says that the president can buy land. So to avoid going through the process of having every state ratify (or vote for and accept) the purchase, he called it a negotiation to avoid it. Also, Jerfferson always said how he didn't want the government to have too much power and he wanted to keep the countery small and unprogressive. People said he abandond his beliefs when he bought it. Hope this helps! :)
