Christians believe in Jesus Christ the son of God, the word.

Christians means followers of Jesus Christ, if you look in the word Christians it says Christ.

Christians believe and serve Jesus because if they do they will have eternal life in heaven and be with Jesus.

They also believe in God and read The Bible.

1. Christians believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins and rose 3 days later.

2. Christians believe that God created the earth.

3. Christians believe that the only way to God is through His Son Jesus Christ.

4. Most Christians believe the world will end with the Christ coming back to Rapture His church.

5. Christians believe in the power of prayer.

6. Christians believe that God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

7. Christians try to live like Him.

8. Christians know they are not perfect, that only God is perfect.

*Note* Going to church does not mean a person is a Christian.

Answer #2

All of the above is correct but to best sum up what a Christian believes in read the Nicene Creed (also Apostles Creed) which starts with "we believe in one God" (in related link below). It was written in 325 AD to unite Christians with the core tenants of Christianity. Some Christians may disagree with child baptism for example but theNicene Creed is adopted by all major Christian denominations.

Christians believe that Jesus died for their sins and if they confess their sins to him when they die they will rise and got to heaven to live with God in ever lasting life.

Christians believe that God sent His son down to earth in the form of human. He did this because He knew that His son would die on the cross because of all of the hatred that people thrust upon him. When he died on the cross he died to sacrifice himself to save our sins. If we accept him into out heart he will wash away all sins.

The previous poster did give a general idea of what Christians believe. The basic beliefs are that God sent His one and only son, Jesus, down to earth as a man. They believed that Jesus lived all 33 years of his life completely blameless and without sin and then he was crucified but he rose from the dead three days later, also known as the Resurrection. Christians believe that when Jesus was sacrificed, he took the the sins of all the people in the past, present, and future, onto himself so that we could all have a chance of being sinless and therefore be able to go to Heaven.

However, many different sects of Christianity believe in different methods on how to be saved or cleansed from sin so that one can go to heaven. Some believe that by accepting Jesus into their hearts and declaring him as their Savior they will be cleansed of their sin. Others believe that you must declare Jesus as Lord and also be baptized, or fully immersed in water as was the practice when Jesus walked the earth, so that your sins will be washed away. Still other believe in infant baptism, when infants are sprinkled with water at birth so that their sins are forever washed away.

There are also other differences in the beliefs of the many branches of Christianity such as Episcopalian, Methodist, Lutheran, etc.

(The Bible is the Christian book that tells all about God and his followers)

Christians believe that God created the Earth, and everything in it.

Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

Then the Lord created man and woman, Adam and Eve, and placed them in a perfect garden.

Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

A fallen angel, Lucifer, renamed Satan is in charge of all evil things. He took the form of a snake, and tricked Adam and Eve into eating fruit from the one tree the Lord had told them not to eat from. God is perfect, so He cannot look at sin. He banished them from the beautiful garden and punished the three accordingly.

First He punished the snake:

Genesis 3:14 "So the LORD God said to the serpent, 'Because you have done this, 'Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.'"

Next he punished Eve:

Genesis 3:16 "To the woman he said, 'I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.'"

Last He punished Adam:

Genesis 3:17 "To Adam he said, 'Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' 'Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.'"

Through out the Bible, God's people had to suffer for what Adam and Eve did. But God always sent profits to tell his children that He would send someone to save them.

Isaiah 19:20 "It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them."

Instead of sending a mere human to save His people, God sent his only son Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

Crucification was one of the most nasty kinds of death, they would take two pieces of wood and put them together in the shape of a t. They would then take nails and nail their hands and feet to the cross then leave them to die.

John 19:18 "There they crucified Him , and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between."

At that moment, Jesus took all of the sins that ever was and ever will be. He died as a living sacrifice for us. But three days later he rose from the dead to show His believers that nothing could hold Him, even death itself.

In short, Christians believe in the Bible and Jesus.

In view of the fact that Jesus Christ is "the truth," as he himself said in John 14:6, we must have the correct belief about him if we are to originate with the truth and be in the truth, and not be an antichrist. If we do not believe that he was born in the flesh and came into the world to be God's chief witness bearer to "the truth," then we are in error and we originate with the world and we are not true Christians.-1 John 4:1-6.

By means of the Holy Bible, God's "word of truth," we know the answer to the question, "What is truth?" We desire also to associate with God's visible organization of the truth. He used Jesus Christ his glorified Son to found this organization on the day of Pentecost fifty days after his resurrection. According to the inspired words of 1 Timothy 3:14, 15, this organization is "God's household, which is the congregation of the living God, a pillar and support of the truth." Yes, indeed, this is what we want to associate with, the "pillar and support of the truth."

We will do our part to uphold the Kingdom truth, raising it on high for all to see. To all the nations we will deliver the Bible answer to the question, "What is truth?" We will share with the "congregation of the living God" in preaching the truth, "this good news of the kingdom," doing so in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations before the end comes. (Matt. 24:14) Everyone that is of the truth will listen to our voice as we serve as substitutes for Christ.-John 18:37; 2 Cor. 5:20.

There is no one set of beliefs for Christians. A basic belief is generally pointed out is the divinity of Jesus. However some Christian churches do not accept this. Many believe in a three part god (Trinitarians), others (Unitarians) only believe in a single undivided god. Some set out in strict controls on morals and lifestyle while others are more lassie faire.

Criteria for entry into heaven, what you need to accept, who is in charge - all these vary with the sect.
