Guyanese people eat a lot of spicy and flavorful food. Some typical meals would be:
1. Dal puri (grind up chick peas in a thin pita like dough and rolled out until very thin); 2. curry (chicken, shrimp, beef, veggies, anything really) but it's different from East Indian curry which is made with coconut milk or heavy cream whereas West Indian curry is more of a stew 3. Pepper pot (thick stewed beef, cooked with different types of pepper and thick brown cassava syrup (has a molasses texture). 4. Fried or boiled plantains and cassava
