Hyperbilirubinemia is a high blood bilirubin level. Excess bilirubin from blood diffuses into the tissues, skin and mucous membrane, coloring them yellow. This condition caused by overflow of bilirubin is called jaundice. The normal serum bilirubin level is 0.5 to 1.5mg%. Jaundice occurs when the bilirubin level exceeds 2mg%.

Can neck arthritis cause by high level of uric acid?

No Arthritis can be a symptom of a high level of uric acid as in the case of Gouty arthritis for example. In that case the arthritis is the result of a high concentration of uric acid in the blood leading to the Uric acid crystallising into fine sharp shards which in turn settle in certain joints and other areas of the body. the kidneys are supposed to clean uric acid from the system. Uric acid is metabolised from purines which are a part of the nucleus of the living cells we eat and those that we turn over in our own body's as cells die and are replaced. Different foods for example produce more or less uric acid.
