Best Answer

Lady bugs and butterflies like nectar but, there is a way to make a substitue for nectar called sugar water. All you do is mix sugar in water in a cup, then put it in a bowl, then put it outside.

Ladybugs eat aphids (green insects that live mainly on roses) and drink water. Sometimes they consume pollen and nectar from plants to save up for winter. Some types of ladybugs eat grass and leaves. Usaly orange or yellow ladybugs eat nectar and pollen and drink water and sometimes they eat grass.

They eat aphids and flies(you can find these in/on rose plants)and they drink water or sweet drinks.
