Lord Brahma is part of the Hindu trinity, which includes Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Brahma, the infinite, the source of all space, time, causation, names and forms, has many interesting and instructive designations.

Theologically, he is the single letter (eka aksharam) AUM, and the un-created creator (svayambhu), the self-born first person.

Philosophically, he is the first manifestation of one's existence (ahankara).

Cosmologically, he is hiranya garbha (golden embryo), the ball of fire, from which the universe develops.

He is Prajapati, since all creatures are his progeny. He is pitamaha (patriarch), vidhi (ordinator), Iokesha (master of the universe), dhatru (sustainer) and Viswakarma (architect of the world). Mythology describes Brahma as springing from Kamala (lotus), from the nabhi (navel) of Vishnu.

Hence, his names Nabhija (navel born), Kanja (water born). His consort Saraswati manifested out of him and all creatures of the world resulted from their union.

The earth is created from mighty sound "AUM",which is soo precious according to hindhuism religion, and that sound is called LORD BRAHMARISHI,but who's worshipped in the form of sculpture as an mizee with 4 heads.

This Brahmarshi has created the life and all other facilities to be lived.this feature created by the Brahmarshi is treated as son named SRI MAHA VISHNU.The books VEDAS(epics of hindhuism) say that the EARTH is born in a lotus that's connected to the Sri Maha Vishnu's intestine coming out from the center of the stomach.so according to Hindhuism Vedas the earth is created from the Vishnu who's created from Bramhrshi which is the sound "AUM".

Most hindus believe in a cyclical universe, with creation and dissolution again and again. There are two kinds of dissolutions (Pralaya). A 4,320,000,000 year cycle of life, equivalent to one day and night of Lord Brahma, the creator God. A new life cycle takes place after this time. This is known as Naimittika Pralaya. Then there is a 311,040,000,000,000 year cycle when the universe is dissolved and after a break a new universe is created. This is known as Prakritik Pralaya.

At the beginning of creation, Lord Brahma gives rise to seven sages (of course with their spouses) whose progeny populates the world. The seven sages of the current age are Kashyapa, Atri, Vasishtha, Vishwamitra, Gautama, Jamadagni, and Bharadvaja. He also creates the king (Manu) and queen for the age. Presently, it is Vaivasvata Manu.

At the moment, we are passing through the seventh age (Manavantara) of the Swetavarah Kalpa (a bigger division of time equivalent to 14 Manvantara) which is the 51st.
