What do the point guard shooting guard small forward power forward and center do?

point guard - takes the ball up the court, calls the plays, sets everyone else up to look good, takes a lot of shots for themselves too though, a leader, normally the captain of the team shooting guard - helps out the point guard when needed (sets picks for them, and gets open for a give and go sometimes), also gets a lot of passes from the point guard to either shoot or get the ball closer to the basket by passing to another player small foward - sometimes act like a third guard on the opposite lane of the court of the shooting guard with the point guard in the center lane, also called the shooting foward, normlly a great three point shooter from outside and takes those shots a lot, moves around the court a lot power foward - stays closer to the basket, and waits for passes to ake close easy shots for and easy two points- almost a sure two points- normally should be automatic to catch the ball and put it up center - always stays towards the middle of the court, doesn't normally dribble, except for maybe one, just like the power foward, takes short shots that are an automatic two points everyone, should be able to be fed the ball down low
