If there aren't eggs you should take water to it! Try and get your hose to go out to your mailbox, if it doesn't reach then get like a spray bottle that can spray somewhat powerfully or a water gun. If you do this the bird will remake a nest 1-2 more times, just do the same thing, eventually the bird will stop coming and making a nest!
