What do you do when you forgot the password to your iPod touch?

ok, here's what i did:

1. plug your iPod touch into your computer and connect it to iTunes and sync all your data onto itunes.

2. then click where it says "_____" ipod, and then (at the top of the screen) click summary.

3. Then (in the middle of the screen) click restore and wait for everything to clear.

4. when it's done, a window will pop up saying set up as a new iPod OR restore from "_____"'s i-touch ... click restore from the backup of "_____"'s i-touch

5. click continue, and it will say restore in progress

6. BAMM your iPod touch is fixed :D

First You Hold Down The sleep button then slide to power off then hook ipod touch up to pc/laptop then hit restore after u click on zach's ipod (expample) the under check for update it says restore then restore and it takes off pasecode and u can put it back on in settings

Connect your iPod to your computer and restore it to the default settings by going to your iPod description page and clicking "Restore" at the bottom right of the screen. Note that this will remove all user-installed apps, music, videos, settings, and history. You could reinstall them if you have synced recently or before restoring to default.

Plug in your iPod touch and get on iTunes. Then, go to your iPod menu on iTunes and click restore. Once it restores, there won't be a password on it and you can re-sync your music and apps onto it... Maybe next time you should write your password down.

Restore the setting using itunes. Click on your ipod on the left pane and then click restore settings. You will lose all content on your ipod, but this can be re-synced afterwards, or at least the iTunes content can.

they say that your suppose to connect it to your computer and fix it on iTunes. Its never happened to me but I suggest trying to restart it, hold menu & the center button until the screen changes...that might work

Bring it into an apple retail store where they will unlock it for you, and they may have to restore it to it's factory defaults. So make sure you have transfered all your purchases in your Itunes library, like songs, apps, etc.

The answer is simple all you have to do is fart on it! I forgot mine tried this and it worked! OMG!
