What do you do when your big sister never lived with you but you want to get to know her but she is not interested?

That is unfortunate. But you could think of it as you would for someone you'd like to be friends with. You can't force a person to be friends. Even the sound of that is strange. You just have to keep a low profile. Perhaps over time, and if you have a chance to see each other in family settings from time to time, she will come around. But the more you try to force, the worse you will make it.
My little sister lives with my mom on the other side of the state. I rarely get to see her and when I do its dificult to relate her. I do love her and i wish i could see more of her but sometimes she has to realize that Im busy. Maybe you should take this into acount to. Your sister may be busy and you may just need to find the time to get to relate to her.
