I have Animal Crossing city folk for wii and on mine you can bury them in the ground and if you or the people of your town fall into it they get mad. Its really funny to watch! that's pretty much the only use, that or selling them and Nook's. The name "pitfall" is a "pit" you plant in the ground so you "fall" in it.

∙ 8y agoall you can do with pit fal seeds is buy them and then step on the hole where you buried it and fall in other than that theyre just annoying and take up space you cant sell them so i just put them in the recycling box in the town hall.

∙ 14y agoIf you have one, bury it. Then walk over it. You sink into the ground! If you collect pitfall seeds, when you go to other people's towns, you can bury them around their town! When they run over them, BOOM! They sink into the ground! If you don't want to use them on your friends, you can use them on the animals in your town. Try and bury them around the door to their houses.

∙ 12y agoIf you get a shovel and bury it and then someone walks over it they will fall in to a hole. It's really funny watching them to. To get a pitfall seeds got to your town gate and when he says is there anything i can do for you say something lost then there will ba a lot of them in there!

∙ 14y agoPitfall seeds are objects you find in the ground. The look like white circles with "!" on them. They are used to, well, pull pranks on someone. If you run over one (when it is buried in the ground), you wiill fall into a hole temporarily.
I guess it's just to tease your neighbours. When your friends visit your neighborhood via multiplay, they too can fall into them, just to play.

∙ 14y agoA Pitfall seed makes you or a neighbor in Animal Crossing fall into the small star-shaped crack if you retrieve it from the Lost and Found in the gate and bury it. The pitfall seed holds no value in bells; if you try to sell this item to Tom Nook he will tell you he cannot pay you for it though he will accept it for free.

∙ 11y agoBasically, Pit Falls seeds don't have a purpose besides burying them and fall into them and let your friends fall into them. Or you can have the Action Replay for full speed cheat and bury the pit fall seeds in front of any kind of river spot and running into it and land in the water. That always make me laugh, but you are forced to shut it off due to it freezing up.

Pitfall seeds are rather useless, but entertaining. You can 'sell' them, but you will not receive any money. The museam will not accept them as fossils. You CAN bury them near another villager in town (of yourself) and fall into it. (To 'push' another villager into a pitfall, keep walking at a person, and you will eventually move them a little.) Watching someone else in peril is always fun to do on a rainy day in the Animal Crossing world!
