To obtain salvation a person must believe this and has accept God's gift of salvation from judgment.

∙ 7y agoYou have to believe that salvation comes by forgiveness of sins, through Jesus. After all, if Jesus was only a man, or did not even exist, then he can not forgive sins and there is no such thing as salvation.
For some denominations, belief is enough. For others, repentance of sins, or good works are also required.
