Shallow thinking patterns are basically those patterns which dwell mainly on one's selfishness and self-interests. These selfishness and self-interests are basically materialistic and harmful. Since these are born merely out of jealousy and ill-will, these produce fickle-mindedness in people, who don't have a spine and follow the mob-mentality. They lack human virtues like fidelity, honesty and integrity.
