You need to get a BA/BS in history, take education classes, take any required tests for a teaching credential, and do any required student teaching/internship for a credential. This generally takes 4-5 years of college.

Do you need a teaching degree to teach?

You can teach anybody anything you know. But to be a teacher in a school, most school systems will require a teaching certificate. You do not need a teaching degree in order to teach in a school. You only need a teaching certification, which you can get without having any sort of degree in teaching. Teaching in colleges and universities seldom require a teaching certificate, but they usually want a 'terminal degree' in the field that is being taught, such as a Medical Degree or a PhD or a Law Degree.

Classes you need to become a history teacher?

It depends on your college's degree program. The basic courses are American history, world history, economics, a teaching course or two, and maybe ancient civilizations. Obviously there is more, but those are some of the most common. I am majoring in history and I was told that if you just want to teach college age, then you do not have to be certified. You just need a masters degree.
