December is based on the Latin word decem , meaning ten. At one time, before the calendar was changed, December was the tenth month.

thanks but i ment if your a girl named december, what does your name mean?

Probably that you were born in December.

Not sure what it means for a name but we named our daughter December and no she was not born in December she was born in August but we use names that start with a D for all the girls and we had nothing else left. Beautiful name for a beautiful girl!
