On a 1997 Ford E-350 : ( No ) The 4.2 liter V6 and the 4.6 liter V8 engines have the Electronic Distributorless Ignition System ( EDIS ) The V6 has ( 1 coil pack with 6 towers ) The 4.6 V8 has ( 2 coil packs with 4 towers on each coil pack ) The 5.4 liter V8 and the 6.8 liter V10 have the Coil On Plug ( C.O.P.) ignition system with 8 or 10 individual coils
