it means alot to chrisityans

Answer:

Without the resurrection there is no salvation, no Eternal Life, no hope... and only vanity.

"...we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall bealso in the likeness of His resurrection..." (Rom.6:4-5).

"...God hath both raised up the Lord, and WILL ALSO raise us up by His own Power." (I Cor.6:14)

"...if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep [dead] in Christ [died with their faith in an unrisen Christ] are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." (I Cor.15:17-19)

Unless God is real and Jesus is the risen Christ... there is nothing beyond death. This pathetic accidental life and perilous, polluted, evil world man... at the supposed top of an evolutionary food chain... has made for himself, is all there is.

Yes... the resurrection means a lot to Christians... and, unknown to the rest of the world at this present time, it means everything to all the generations of mankind created in His image.

"...in thy Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed..." (Gen.26:4).

"...Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many, but as of One, And to thy Seed, which is Christ." (Gal.3:16)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is more than important... it's pivotal to achieving Eternal Life, the gift of the Living Christ.

"...the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom.6:23)

Without the resurrection of Jesus... it's all a lie.

Jesus Christ paid the ransom for by means of his life. When a ransom is paid it has to be given to the person who demands it. The Israelites would go the high priest with a lamb, bull and a goat the priest would offer the animals as a sacrifice for forgiven for their sin. This foreshadow what Jesus Christ would do in the future. That is what John the Baptist states: John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! Jesus Christ did died as a human. But he had to present the value of his sacrifice to GOD. This is what his resurrection accomplished. Notice what Hebrew 9:11-12,24 states: But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption... For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

Many people celebrate Jesus' resurrection. It is his death that causes us to gain salvation and forgiven for our sins. Notice what 1Corinthians 15:22 states: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. The first man Adam sinned and brought death to all humans. Jesus being a perfect human was the only one who give life back to us. Under God law and eye for an eye, soul for soul, it would take a perfect human life give life back to Adam's offspring which is the human race. 6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation (Romans 5:6-12) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:26) Just saying we believe is not enough. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble! For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:19,26)

We should this faith by getting to GOD b reading his word daily and meditate on it.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. (John 17:3,17) It is time for all of the reconcile to God. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead." (Acts 17:30-31)

I hope this information was encouraging.

Do scholars believe James is the most reliable eyewitness to Jesus' resurrection appearances?

The contradictions among the various gospel stories mean that scholars believe that no one was really a reliable witness to Jesus' resurrection appearances. Moreover, there is nothing that James wrote, or even attributed to James, that mentions the resurrection of Jesus. If James did actually see the risen Jesus, he left us nothing to tell of his experience.

Who is most the most reliable witness to the resurrection of Christ?

Reliable? Hmm. Peter knew the most about Jesus but was not reliable. I'd say that Paul was the most reliable witness.

What does the resurrection of Jesus Christ mean?

The earliest manuscripts of Mark's Gospel end at verse 16:8, with the young man saying that Jesus is risen, and the women fleeing in terror, telling no one. Clearly the resurrection is important, because the "Long Ending" (verses 16:9-25) was added much later to provide resurrection appearances. Although each gospel provides quite different accounts of just what happened after the resurrection of Jesus, Christians believe that the resurrection means that Jesus is the Son of God.
