What would you like to do?
ANSWER: It is the check engine light. It starts out a yellow meaning that there is some thing going on and have it looked at soon. If by chance the little engine light is red, this means do not drive your vehicle until you have it serviced. There are many things that could cause this to happen from fueling the vehicle with it running , a sensor not functining properly, or a major engine problem. It is not to be taken litely if it is red, you could severly damage the engine if you ignore it.

Answer It goes on automatically whenever the on-board diagnostic (OBD) computer detects possible trouble with your emission control system, including faulty… fuel mix, engine performance, electrical circuits, drive train management -- even the sensors themselves. -Ryan Alexander
Usually city/regional transport buses.
For a steady (not blinking) yellow engine light: That indicates a fault with the engine or one of it's systems. It's usually an emissions related fault. Often caus…ed by a loose gas cap.
That's your check engine light. Take it to an auto parts store or mechanic and ask them to scan the codes to tell you what's wrong...auto parts will do it for free, mechanic w…ill probably charge you.
If you don't have a manual, GET ONE! This is the check engine light (that's why it's shaped like an engine...) It could be anything from low gas pressure to a vacuum leak to b…urnt valves, anything that causes irregularities in the engine's operation will trigger this light. There are a dozen sensors for different things (air, gas, spark, and all the things necessary to keep them balanced), and when one of them detects that something's out of whack, it lights this up. Your mechanic can get the code for what's wrong off the car's computer, or you can buy an OBDII (On Board Diagnostic) tool yourself and read the codes. Caution; some conditions will WRECK YOUR ENGINE if you drive with them unrepaired for too long!
It means that there is a problem with the engine management system. (ECU). One of the sensors monitoring temperature, air/vacuum pressure, throttle position, etc is out of r…ange. This can be due to a failure of one of the sensors or the wiring to it. You will need to diagnose the problem via a main agent with their computer diagnostic system.
That mean that you have a problem with the engine. If you can read the engine codes you could get an answer for the problem. Repairs manual have the instructions of how to rea…d the codes. Faulty computer also turn on the engine symbol.
That would be your check engine light. Your best bet is to take it to autozone and ask if they can read what "code" made that light come on. They can even turn it off for you,… but beware, it may come back on if you do not fix the problem that made that light come on for you in the first place. Checking codes at autozone should be free. Napa, Pep boys (not recommended), and other auto part stores should be able to "scan" your car for "codes" for free. If they ask for a fee to check, walk away
There are different national and international standards for symbols and abbreviations. You will need to check out the national standards for the drawings you are referring to….
this means either engine management system has failed or engine check is required
check engine light. it means you should eather check your "codes" or go to an auto shop and tell them your check engine light is on. sometimes its free.
It comes on when the engine computer detects a malfunction and sets a code. You need to have the system checked for codes.
That would be the check engine light. See related question below.
The engines cylinders displace 1.5 liter. i.e. if petrol is the fuel for the car and not diesel
That is most likely the Check Engine Light. In most usual cases, it's just a faulty sensor you need to replace. Any dealer of your brand of vehicle has code readers for these …lights and could tell you what sensor is faulty. Beware, they can be costly though. Anything computer is. I believe you would not pass inspection if this was not fixed. Now if the Service Vehicle Soon light came on, stop driving it, you'd have a major issue that could kill the engine.
It is the Check Engine light. It comes on when the ECU detects a problem with the emissions system. Can be as simple as a loose gas cap or can be serious. Have the ECU scanned….
